You've been flying paramotor's for some time now. You know and appreciate performance & safety qualities of reflex profile wings. Even if you just fly as an amateur, you are willing to try something more than para-parking in the vicinity of the landing field. Long, lonely routes are as attractive as your wish to compare yourself against world's best pilots in international competition or trying to establish some new record. You are not afraid of flying in strong thermals, and agility tasks close to the ground are fun too.
What you need is a top-drawer paraglider; a canopy that will be safe and stable both at top and low speeds, with efficient trimmers and speed systems (each of them increasing your speed over 10 km/h), sensitive controls capable of rapid 180's even when you are storming over 50 km/h with 30 m2 of cloth over your head. On top of that it has to be robust, so that high loads connected with aggressive PPG flying will not deform your wing after the first 150 hours.
The Nucleon is an Action/ReAction class paraglider, yet designed around a different idea (proven in Synthesis and Plasma). The new concept assumes linear characteristics of acceleration (equally shared between trims and speed system) and limited reflexivity at slow trim settings. It is accompanied by a number of new features, intensively tested since 2007 and introduced to mass production for the first time.
As a result we have a 100% reflex PPG paraglider with great performance and outstanding safety (comparable to the already legendary ReAction), presenting handling similar to classic paragliders (at low speeds).
Nucleon is certified EN, LTF, DULV and EAPR (see Technical Data and Download sections).
The Nucleon takes off perfectly, rising fast and clean after an easy inflation. In favourable conditions inflation is possible with body movement only, without the need to hold the risers in your hands.
NEW! WRC version available!
For 2012 season there is a lifting of the Nucleon available, created primarily for the competitors. The WRC version (With Rod Concept) incorporates Dudek Flexi Edge technology.
Some minor modifications in the design (improving curvature among others) caused the wing to be more agile. Exchanging mylar reinforcements for elastic rods (as in other our recent designs: Hadron, Optic, Colt, Orca2) results in easier inflation and stiffens the leading edge. Increased speed ranges are another advantage of that improvement. ALC+ (new version of the ALC steering system) is more efficient and affects the canopy in more proportionate way. In effect steering appears to be smoother.
Those modifications should be welcomed especially by the competitors, seeking both for faultless launches and agility. Unfortunately despite relatively minor changes, Nucleon WRC is not covered by the certificate issued for standard version. Anybody wishing to use certified paraglider will have to stay with regular Nucleons, which due to constant demand will remain in production for the foreseeable future.
Weight range:
Nucleon 25m² - 75-95 kg
Nucleon 27m² - 90-110 kg
Nucleon 29m² - 100-130 kg

DESIGN FEATURES
The Nucleon incorporates a number of proven and some novel features improving flight comfort and performance.
A set of design tools called Canopy Shape Guard effectively stiffens the wing along its entire span, practically eliminating any lateral canopy movement.
After
many successes enjoyed all over the world by our PPG wings - the Action
and the ReAction - we challenged ourselves with yet another task: to
create a PPG paraglider that will be accessible for pilots of all
training stages. We wanted to merge the safety and performance of our
existing PPG wings with the ease of classic paragliders' launch. To our
delight we succeeded, and so our newest PPG wing - the Synthesis - was
born.
Characteristics:
A paraglider featuring proven reflex-wing aerofoil, with impressive
maximum speed (61 km/h) and wide trim speed range (37 to 49 km/h). Easy
at launch, with great amount of passive safety.
Synthesis Cabrio is a reworked, enlarged and tuned to its specific needs version of a standard Synthesis. With the same outline it has four cells more, strengthened construction and accordingly changed rigging. Additional V-shaped mylar reinforcements guarantee exceptional durability and precise reproduction of planned aerofoil.
Intended use
Synthesis Cabrio is designed both for Quad/Trike and tandem flying, but you have to observe different weight ranges:
Quad or Trikes can be flown in entire weight range,
Tandem flying (foot launch) should be done only in lower half of the weight range.
Such restriction is caused by relatively high speed at take off when heavy, so that launch can be really difficult in nil-wind conditions. A Quad/Trike has its wheels, but two heavy persons probably won't be able to take off. Of course with decent wind there shouldn't be problems with foot launch at any weight.
Characteristics Synthesis Cabrio is an agile wing. Launching is easy, given that proper technique and trim setting is observed. With right configuration pulling A risers can be not necessary during launch (the wing rises on its own), a feature highly valued by Quad/Trike pilots. Another highlight is Cabrio's wide speed range on trimmers. This is of special importance to Quad/Trike and tandem pilots, as they have no possibility to operate speedbar.
Everybody will be satisfied with Cabrio's high maximum speed, offering a lot of fun overtaking other pilots and impressive ease of covering long distances.
Reflex profile and carefully designed rigging make for comfortable flight even in hard thermal conditions. And there is a TST system, offering good steering control at high speeds.
You
are a good pilot and you like to compete. You are looking for a top
performing wing that is still safe, preserving considerable stability
and passive safety. You can appreciate reflex-aerofoil characteristics
(its speed and tuck-resistance) - so in short, Plasma is the paraglider
for you!
A high performance
PPG wing, extensively tested for last couple of months, finally has
changed its temporary 'DM' name to an official PLASMA.
This
paraglider represents a next step in our famous line of reflex-wing
series, equipping experienced pilots with yet another craft of
cutting-edge performance.
As always, we put a lot of work into its passive security, so that
Plasma won't be much different from ReAction in behaviours.
As mentioned, Plasma is destined for exceptional and demanding pilots,
so it will be manufactured in short batches. In this way we will be
able to collect and incorporate experiences and suggestions from its
users, constantly improving already impressive wing performance. Due to
such premises Plasma will not be certified.
